On the other hand, the selection of Rakell may come as a surprise to some, given his recent performance. While Rakell was part of Sweden's 4 Nations team, his participation was limited to just two games, suggesting that he might play a more supportive role in the upcoming Olympics.
Interestingly, the Penguins will not have any players representing Finland or the United States, which isn't entirely unexpected. Although there was some discussion around Bryan Rust potentially making the U.S. team, the competition was fierce. With talented players like Jason Robertson, Cole Caufield, Alex Tuch, and Cutter Gauthier also vying for spots, it's no surprise Rust wasn’t heavily considered.
