Oasis reunion tour announced for 2025

Oasis fans are braced for battle as the general sale for their epic 2025 reunion tour starts TODAY.

Announcing their comeback, Liam and Noel said: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

Oasis have promised "wall to wall classics" as they mark the 30th anniversary of their second album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. Original Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs is rumoured to be joining Liam and Noel, while we revealed Gem Archer is also expected to join the reunion. General sale starts at 9am on Saturday 31 August.

The pre sale on Friday evening got off to a controversial site with fans waiting hours for the pre-sale codes, then battling touts for tickets who have attempted to resell the spots for as much as £10,000.

She wrote: “Has anyone actually managed to get a ticket today yet?”

Former BBC Breakfast presenter Walker wrote: “There has got to be a fairer, simpler, more efficient way of selling tickets that isn’t so open to touts, scammers, resellers & bots #Oasis.

Furious fans ask Liam and Noel if they are 'aware' of spiralling ticket prices

Some fans have taken to social media to directly ask Noel and Liam Gallagher if they know loyal fans are being 'ripped off' by rising ticket prices.

Many fans have posted on social media about getting through to the ticket page only to find prices are now 'double or triple' the original cost, as 'surge pricing' takes a hold.

@liamgallagher@NoelGallagher Are you aware this is happening to your fans? So called “in demand” prices… no sh*t, of course they’re in f**king demand," raged one.

Another moaned: "Absolute greasy trap. So much for being from a working class background. Near £400 to stand on a pitch, joined 2 different queues, on both times we got to number 1, it kicked us out for being a bot."

Wembley Stadium admit 'unprecedented ' demand

A Wembley Stadium spokesman has blamed 'unprecedented demand' on fans being unable to get through to book accessible tickets. Calling the stadium directly is the only way to get hold of the passes.

A spokesperson said: “The demand for accessibility tickets to Oasis Live’ 25 has been unprecedented. Unfortunately, this has resulted in waiting times being longer than normal.

“For those customers unable to wait on the phone we have a call-back system in place which allows users to leave their details and await a response from our customer service team.”

The phone-only service is in place for Wembley Stadium to understand the fan’s needs and check proof of eligibility.

Accessible Wembley tickets 'impossible task' as fans call thousand of times

Oasis fans have said getting accessible tickets for Wembley Stadium is an “impossible task”, as they tried to call one phone number thousands of times.

General tickets went on sale for the band’s comeback tour at 9am on Saturday, and fans requesting accessible tickets were advised to call a phone number for the Wembley concerts.

But Frances Mobbs said trying to get accessible tickets for her son was an “impossible task”.

Mrs Mobbs, from Norfolk, wanted to buy four tickets for her son Nick Mobbs, 41, his carer and two family members, for the concert on July 26.

She sent through supporting documents for the accessible tickets and tried to call repeatedly for two hours when the phone line opened.

“My son has been a fan from day one, like millions of other people, of course, we’re trying to get tickets,” she said.

“I know I’m one of thousands and thousands and thousands of people, but there’s one dedicated phone line which is constantly engaged or saying we are unable to complete your call.

“I’ve been calling for two hours, I keep repeating and repeating.

“It’s frustrating, totally and utterly frustrating.”

Oasis fan 'frustrated and angry' at being kicked out queue

A long-time fan trying for tickets to see Oasis in Dublin next year said he feels “frustration” and “anger” after he was kicked out of the Ticketmaster queue.

Scott McLean, 28, logged into his account on the ticket-selling website at 7.30am on Saturday ahead of Irish sales opening at 8am.

He was in a queue of 20,000 for around 30 minutes before selecting four tickets to see the band’s show at Croke Park.

However, his browser began buffering for half an hour as he tried to make the purchase, prompting him to contact the Ticketmaster customer service account on X, formerly Twitter, for advice.

“I followed their advice, cleared my cookies and cache on my browser and then it kicked me out completely. It just came up to that error screen after I followed their guidance,” the business analyst from Belfast told the PA news agency.

“I had to rejoin the queue and I ended up about 700,000 places worse off after following their guidance.”

He said he feels “frustration and anger, not much more than that”, adding: “It’s just tickets for a concert after all, but I really wanted to go.”

IT experts say 'huge possibility' of Oasis tickets being bought by bots

IT experts say there is a “huge possibility” that high numbers of Oasis tickets are being purchased by computer bots at once. Ticket re-sellers often use automated software to buy more tickets for events than they are allowed, only to sell them on at higher prices.

Oasis fans also reported being hit with website outage issues while trying to book shows on Saturday.

Global cybersecurity adviser Jake Moore, said some groups have the right software and knowledge to manipulate ticket websites, and even use bots to “swoop in and purchase high numbers of tickets at once”.

“Being the next series of concerts since the demand for Taylor Swift tickets, I would suggest there would be a huge possibility of bots being used to swoop in. Bots mimic the activity of real users and even manipulate their location using off-the-shelf software such as a VPN.

“This is usually counteracted using bot detection software but this can often produce false positives when real users are assumed to be bots themselves.”

Ticket reseller Viagogo defends selling Oasis tickets for inflated prices

Ticket reseller Viagogo has defended having Oasis tickets on sale for inflated prices on its platform as a “legal” practice following the Britpop band warning concertgoers that passes bought outside of the official websites Ticketmaster and Twickets will be cancelled.

Cris Miller, Viagogo global managing director, said in a statement to the PA news agency: “This is a dream event anticipated by millions worldwide.

“Our number-one tip for fans using secondary marketplaces is to continue to check prices outside of the first few weeks of sale.

“Demand will be at its peak when tickets hit the on-sale but it’s not a normal reflection of what tickets can and will go for. Just this summer tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in the UK sold on our platform for as low as £80.

“In the case of Oasis – a highly anticipated event – we saw the primary sites struggling to manage demand even before the on-sale, and site crashes.

“We know fans are frustrated with the process and we know there is a better way. We continue to support industry collaboration to ensure the entire ticketing market works for fans and the live entertainment industry.

“Resale is legal in the UK and fans are always protected by our guarantee that they will receive their tickets in time for the event or their money back.”
